indians

 One of the Indian tribes that lives in Box Elder County is the Shoshone.The shoshone indians established villages about as high as  10,00 ft. in evelation. They have dark skin and had a clash with the white men a war until 1863. A treaty was signed to stop the war.  They use wickups and other stuff. I got the following stuff from Wickipedia. the name Shoshone means "tall grass" and it used to be called Shosoni. They hunt well  they can grow long hair as in this pic. They live in a top corner of Utah were my county is. So that is my intresting tribe in my county good bye.

 Those rocks up there were from a cool mineral website.There is granite that forms huge rocks.  There is slate a dense and brittle metamorphic rock seen in pilot range. There is Phyillite which is similar to slate and is seen  north of south flanks of Grizzly Peak east of Willard.    

One location with granite has the  scary name of Devil's Playground.

so those rocks are  the igneous rocks to see. The very dark granite is made from wheathering. It is located in odgen a place in box elder county hope you  have fun.

                                                            

Water ways is box elder county

There are many, many water ways in Box Elder County.  I will put as much as I can: Baker Slough, Bar M Slough, Birch Creek, Box Elder Creek, Camp Creek, Kimbel Creek, Bear River, Bear Lake, Reeder Overflow, Lynn Creek and many others.  Here is a pic. The bear river is big and unique it is located near the top,corner right of box elder county.

There is also North Hardasy Creek and Rice Creek. In all there are 124 rivers streams and creeks in Box Elder County- CRAZY! There are many others including, Edrichey Creek, Holt creek, Long Morey Creek, Long Creekv, and Off Slough.  These are some creeks and rivers and I hope you enjoy.

Of course you see a big map here of box elder county. It is located in Utah, and brigam city is a major city wich is the capital of box elder, and brigam city is the county seat the size 5,614 miles long its a big county. But i have no national park. My population is 50,171. Thats my great stuff about box elder.
